Speaking of memory is the most difficult a modern artist - whatever that is expressed in art - it may decide to do, without fear of being trivial or superficial.
When it comes to cinema, the question becomes even more complicated: the seventh art houses, most of the time, the best of the other arts, but not always able to break free their defects. Kunio Kato, Japanese animation, has perhaps chosen the road less simple but more effective: talking about memory through the use of music and images, without using unnecessary words.
The result is "no ie Tsumiki " animated short in 2008, won the Oscar for Best Animated Short in 2009.
